This is not Dr. Gergely Pataki's first infrared heating system. We have previously reported that the operating theatre of his plastic surgery practice also has ceiling heating built with heating film, and now he has ordered this comfortable and healthy warmth for a modular house.

Designing the house's heating begins with proper technical planning. Our infrared heating experts carefully calculate the required amount of heating film, taking into account the building's energy loss and the customer's expectations regarding the heating. It often happens that more heating film is installed than the required heating energy would suggest; this occurs when, in a well-insulated house, the expectation is comfortable warmth across the entire floor surface. Energetically, just a few strips of film might be enough to provide the necessary warmth, but covering the entire floor surface nevertheless requires more heating film.
In this installation there is both underfloor heating and ceiling heating. The reason is that the customer likes a pleasantly warm floor, but the thick Swedish flooring heats up more slowly and has greater inertia. This building functions as a holiday home, so rapid heat-up is a requirement. For this reason, ceiling heating was additionally installed. The heating film located above the plasterboard-covered ceiling warms the occupants within minutes, while the infrared heating in the floor provides comfortable warmth for the soles of the feet as well.
The ceiling heating was installed while the unit was still at the modular house manufacturer's premises. The heating film and heat reflector were easy to fix to the ceiling, and were then covered with plasterboard so that no heating element would be visible in the living space.

Infrared heating film was likewise installed beneath the Swedish flooring to achieve comfortable warmth. The polyfoam heat reflector had to be cut out under the cables so that the surface would be perfectly flat for the upper floor layer. The total height of the heating system is 6 mm. It is controlled by a smart home system, with separate adjustment for each room. The control system also regulates the water heater and the shutters. Since the property is used as a holiday home, the IQotthon control system is a good solution, as the heating can be started remotely and the house can easily be kept tempered in winter.
